How do I replace the battery in my Orbiloc Safety Light?
The battery in the Orbiloc Safety Light is found by unscrewing the lens completely. If the battery is stuck in the lens, knock the lens gently on a hard surface (as a table) and the battery will come loose.
How long is the battery life?
The battery life is 5 years when not in use. If you use an Orbiloc Safety Light battery you will get 100 hours of steady-on light and 250 hours of flashing light.
What kind of battery is used in the Orbiloc Safety Light?
The Orbiloc Safety Light uses 2 CR2032 batteries. The batteries are held together with a foil, but 2 loose CR2032 can also be used.
Should I use Orbiloc Safety Light batteries?
You do not have to use the batteries we sell to the Orbiloc Safety Light. However, please note that when using other batteries, we cannot guarantee the operating times indicated above.

To change from flashing to steady-on light on the Orbiloc Safety Light, you unscrew the lens completely and flip the battery (the change of polarity changes the function). If the battery is stuck in the lens, knock the lens gently on a hard surface (as a table) and the battery will come loose.

The lens on my Orbiloc Safety Light is very tough to turn – what can I do?
To insure waterproofness the Orbiloc Safety Light has a rubber ring (O-ring). This O-ring can over time get dry, and therefore the lens can become rather tough to turn.
The solution is to add new silicone on the O-ring or to replace it. We recommend that the O-ring is replaced at least once a year. It is found in the Maintenance Kit that your Orbiloc Safety Light reseller has in stock (the kit also contains silicone, battery and a Velcro strap).
