This compact and lightweight safety light measures just 35mm x 25mm and weighs only 25 grams. Its sleek design ensures that your dog stays comfortable, whether it´s lying down or rolling over. Operating the Orbiloc Dog Dual is simple. The Mode Selector Ring allows you to easily switch between flashing or steady-on modes. The steady-on mode provides up to 100 hours of battery life, while the flashing mode lasts up to 250 hours.
The Orbiloc Dog Dual is 100% waterproof and has an IPX8 rating, meaning it can withstand continuous submersion under water. This level of protection ensures that your dog can swim, play in the snow, or enjoy any outdoor activity without concern. The Orbiloc extended 3-year warranty does not affect your statutory rights. The warranty period applies to the Orbiloc Dual Safety Lights. Accessories and replacement parts are not covered by the warranty. Other exclusions include normal wear and tear, oxidation, modifications or alterations, incorrect storage, poor maintenance, negligence, and use of the light for purposes for which it is not intended. Which mount should I choose for my dog?
The Quick Mount and Adjustable Strap included with the Orbiloc Dog Dual is great for most of the available dog collars and harnesses. It can also be used for any dog coat or vest with an adequate attachment feature for the strap.
For dog coats or other gear without an adequate attachment feature for the strap, you can get the Orbiloc Clip to clip the light onto your dog’s apparel. (We only recommend the Orbiloc Clip for small dogs or for dogs on a leash.)
The Orbiloc Carabiner is a great solution for big dogs with long and thick fur, because it makes the light stick out and unfold its high visibility. For tiny dogs the Orbiloc Carabiner can be used to mount the light to the leash.
Which colour should I choose?
You can choose a colour based on your personal preference, what matches the other dog gear or based on the conditions you typically find yourself in.
Here are a few general insights:
- Red light disturbs your night vision less than other light colours which makes it great if you live in an area without much ambient light or when you usually walk your dog on a short leash.
- Yellow light is more visible than other light colours in cloudy and overcast conditions.
- In areas with lots of ambient light (e.g., traffic lights and light poles) it can be an advantage to choose a colour that stands out, such as purple, pink or even blue.

Is the Orbiloc Dog Dual really 5 km/3 mi visible?
The 5 km/3 mi visibility of the Orbiloc light is based on a calculation that takes into regard factors such as:
- The ability of the human eye to perceive certain colours
- The threshold of light perception by the human eye
- How much the light intensity decreases with distance
- The weather conditions
In real world applications, factors such as obstacles, the angle at which you look at the light, the battery capacity and even the curvature of the earth will normally make it impossible to see the light from 5 km/3 mi distance.
Yet, the specification is still useful to compare the visibility of the Orbiloc light with the visibility of other lights. See more about the colour technology here.
Does the Orbiloc Dog Dual tolerate salt water?
Yes, the Orbiloc light does tolerate salt water – even up to 100 meters depth. Please make sure, however, to rinse the light with fresh water while turning the Orbiloc Mode Selector Ring after the light was exposed to salt water. Is the Orbiloc Dog Dual rechargeable/can I use rechargeable batteries?
No, the Orbiloc light is not rechargeable by default. However, you can use rechargeable LIR2032 batteries.
When using two LIR2032 batteries the three battery springs in the base must be bent approx. 1 mm upwards to ensure flawless contact with the batteries. Furthermore make sure that both batteries are inserted with the + symbol facing down. Please refer to our User Manual page 11 for advice.
Note: Orbiloc can only guarantee the 5 km/3 mi visibility and the 100–250 h battery life when you use the original Orbiloc Battery Pack included in the Orbiloc Service Kit.
Is the Orbiloc Dog Dual suitable for all sizes of dogs?
The Orbiloc light only weighs 25g (including the mount and strap), so even the tiniest companions will not be bothered by it.
Can the Orbiloc Dog Dual be easily attached to a dog’s collar or harness?

Will the Orbiloc Dog Dual bother my dog’s eyes? Is it safe for them to wear?
The Orbiloc light is designed to be safe and comfortable for dogs to wear. The light uses a 270-degree lens, which provides a wide angle of visibility without being too bright or intense. Additionally, the light is positioned on the dog’s gear rather than directly in their line of sight, reducing the chance of discomfort or irritation.
